Clementine Ford has given advice to a mother whose nine-year-old son watched porn.
The feminist author, 41, explained children ‘cannot process’ what they see in pornography and that the mother needs to support her son.
Speaking on her podcast, Dear Clementine, the writer offered advice to a mother who had written in to the show, unsure what to do.

‘I would let him know, through conversations around this, without pushing, that he can speak to me about this, that nothing is off limits,’ she explained.
Clementine added that her own son will ‘never be in trouble’ as long as he tells the truth.

‘This topic really distresses me – children simply cannot process what they are seeing in pornography, and it’s traumatic, confusing and damaging for them to be shown it’ she said

She shared the lengthy retort while responding to a fan who asked what the best way to respond to being asked by right wing men, ‘Who hurt you so bad to make you become a man-hater?’
‘You want to believe the only reason a woman would consider herself to have value beyond a man’s opinion of her is because she was hurt by one of you,’ Clementine wrote.
‘This tells me exactly how you view women – which is that you believe we exist only in relation to you, and that you consider your power over us to be so great that it can either break us or save us.’
The author then followed up with another lengthy post, stating that ‘women could never hate men as much as they hate us’
Clem continued her detailed response, saying that women like her ‘don’t think about’ men like this.
